My New Fabric!

Hello!

I mentioned in my last post that I had picked up some new flannel fat quarters for a baby quilt..........so I thought I'd share them with you. Our baby girl is due in June and I would love to finish something before then. I love these pinks & greens and think I'll mix them up with some chenille fabric. I have *tons* of chenille, both vintage and new, that I was collecting a few years back when I was on a quilting kick.

What do you think??

Grandmas Quilt....One of My Favorites!

Hello! I hope you all are having a great Saturday. I have not been crafting as much as I would like lately. The last few weeks seem to have been busy with my son's birthday, Easter, visiting my Mother-in-Law after her knee replacement, and the whole family being sick as well. Ugh. We are also expecting baby #3, our last addition to the family, except maybe a dog in future years to come (WAY into the future!)....so I feel the need to purge some of the "stuff" that seems to accumulate so quickly when you have kids. I have been trying to do that too (slowly). AND...we still need to get the baby's room ready, but are trying to figure out if my daughter is old enough to share a room with her (the baby is a girl!). So......we are on "hold" with that project for the moment. All of the bedding and goodies are purchased......just ready for a home. I *love* it! It's a shabby pink & blue floral set from Pottery Barn Kids. We even have the matching set for my older daughter.......hope that plan works out!

I have lots of new stamps, paper & fun supplies that are calling my name and patiently waiting to be turned into something POSH & PRETTY......maybe a little fun too. Hopefully this weekend I can get somethings finished and put into the shop! I keep starting new projects...now I just need to finish some. ;)

I thought I'd share a picture of one of my favorite quilts made by my 91 year old Grandma Vera. She no longer is able to quilt, but has made hundreds in her lifetime. For some reason I just love this one!! My sister was lucky enough to get this one. :)
I seem to think I am going to make a baby quilt in the coming month or so and picked up an assortment of really pretty flannels in pink & sage green. I'll have to take a picture and share with my blog friends. I have tons of chenille that I want to mix with it. We'll see if I can actually complete that project.
~Have a wonderful Saturday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Greetings!

Happy Monday & Happy St. Patrick's Day! Our household isn't feeling too festive today......we all came down with awful colds over the weekend. I did manage to make up "leprechaun milk & leprechaun macaroni and cheese" for the kids today. :) We aren't even wearing green! GASP!

Not much to share today.....with the colds and my son's birthday I haven't created much in the past few days. Here are a few tag sets I did before the weekend.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Happy Spring!

I can't beleive it's already SPRING! It feels great to see the sun and actually get outside a little bit. Now it's time to plant flowers and clean up the yard. :)

I have been slowly working on some new Spring tags for my Etsy shop. Here is a sample of some new ideas.

I hope you are all enjoying this time of year...and aren't trapped in all that snow that is falling around parts of the country.

Have a great day!

Getting Ready for the Day of Love!

Hello!

I thought I'd make a quick post and show a few pictures of some things I've been working on for my Etsy shop for Valentine's Day! I love cutting out little hearts by hand, and after cutting out a couple hundred (at least), I realized I had way more then I would need for tags or whatever. :)

So.....I decided to list some packs of hearts only. I just love how they look all together. It's all part of the paper addiction I think!!

I have other things in the works, but am trying to get a few custom orders mailed out first...then back to creating new tags.

Have a wonderful day~

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great holiday! Boy, it sure does get busy. Now that it's 2008 and the holidays are over, I feel ready to get back into everything. The house is pretty much back in order and I am trying to find my creative side again. I am getting some Valentine tags ready for ETSY and think I might make some chipboard albums too.....but not quite sure what I exactly want to do. I always have the greatest ideas in the shower or late at night while I'm lying in bed, but once the day starts and there are "distractions" I seem to forget all those ideas. Ugh.

Anyway, I always like to post some pictures.....so here are a few things I worked on in December. Not much. The tins were gifts for my daughter's preschool teachers (they are filled with Hershey Nuggets that are also decorated on the outside.) :)

Happy January!
